Aroland First Nation, Ontario

Since 2001, Careforce teams have been privileged to work with the children and youth in this remote northern community. It is located approximately 1500km from Toronto, 4 hours northeast of Thunder Bay. The reserve is isolated and has limited access to resources and opportunities. Although there is a primary school, there is no high school available on the reserve to educate youth aged 13 - 19. Instead, youth are bused to Geraldton - nearly an hour away.
