Good News For The Youth Of Aroland First Nation!
Careforce is delighted to announce that the Grocery Foundation of Ontario has awarded a $25,000 grant to help re-equip and assist with the operating of a youth activity center for the young people of Aroland First Nation. The grant will provide the youth center "The Shack" with: some infrastructure upgrades that will allow it to continue operating through the winter; to replace worn out activity equipment and to provide fresh food, (fruit and vegetables etc) for the youth when at the center.
The Grocery Foundation began almost 30 years ago when a handful of Ontario grocery leaders decided it was time for their industry to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Ontario children who needed a hand-up in life. Careforce would like to express its gratitude to the Grocery Foundation and looks forward to reporting how the young people of Aroland make maximum use of the Shack facility.
To complete this project, we need only an additional $5,000. We are pleased that there is such a small amount left to raise, but we need your help. Please consider coming alongside the Grocery Foundation, and Careforce in this initiative.
