Happy New Year everyone...
How can it be so hard to come back to work! Oh well, with not much snow and freezing weather I suppose being at work is better than sitting at home wondering what to do with the last of the Christmas turkey.
As we move into the new year Careforce is focusing on sharing more stories of children in our projects and the difference that your support has made to their lives. Look out for the an article on satellite schools which includes the story of Jardis, a graduate of the Lighthouse School. With your help and support, she managed to finish towards the top of her class, be accepted at medical college and finally qualify as a doctor. Now 28, married and with a child of her own, she is a great example of what is possible when we work together for the good of the children.
In the meantime, we will soon be updating you on the success of the appeal to buy food for the Village of Hope in Burkina Faso, that should be up on the site early next week. So, from the staff and myself, have a great new year and don't worry, turkey sandwiches for lunch normally stops around the third week in January :-)
