Application Forms

In consultation with your Team Leader, the following forms need to be completed in full and be accompanied by a deposit, passport information and police check in order to be processed. What other documentation is required?

You will need a current passport to participate in the team experience.  Most countries require that your passport’s expiration date be valid for at least six months after your expected return date.  If you do not currently have a passport, you can visit Passport Canada at http://www.ppt.gc.ca/ where you can access a passport application form on-line or in a printable form.  You can also access a passport application form through any Canada Post outlet.  The Passport Canada website offers helpful tips for completing your passport application.

Do I need a visa?  How do I get a visa?  How much does it cost?

Some countries will require an entry visa.  Careforce will secure visas for all team members.  This will be included in your trip cost.  You will be asked to provide your Team Leader with a valid passport in order for your visa to be processed. For Kenya and Burkina Faso, you will need to be able to part with your passport for a period of time while this is obtained.

Do I need a police check?

You are required by Careforce International to provide a current police check (adults over the age of 18).  This is to ensure the protection and security of our children on site and is standard practice across international organizations. All team participants and team leaders must have a current (within the last 12 months of application) police check. These can be obtained at your local precinct for a minimal fee. Be prepared that this could take up to six weeks to obtain. A copy of this must be provided prior to departure. As this is a mandatory requirement of Careforce International for team participants should this not be submitted, you will be unable to participate on the team experience without this and will still be responsible for the cost. We will accept any type of valid police check.

What ages may participate?

Careforce enables people of ages to participate in a team experience provided you are physically able (some medical screening may be required) and receive a notarized letter of parental consent if you are a minor. All youth teams must have adequate adult supervision and this will be determined in partnership with the Teams Director.
