Message from our CEO
I've been the CEO at Careforce for a year now and am truly amazed at the work being done both here in Canada and overseas by our partners. I have visited each of our four sites and spent time looking at the work itself and assessing the systems and procedures that under gird and enable this work to be done.
As I start my second year I'm excited about the new opportunities that Careforce is about to launch. We are partnering with a second partner in Burkina Faso establishing a vocational training center. We are also partnering with multiple villages who operate as a co-operative in Guatemala together with another Canadian not for profit. We are also expanding our partnering with Canadian first nation communities in Northern Ontario and hope to have teams visiting every week of the 2011 summer.
To achieve all this we need your help. Everyone has felt the impact of the recent economic recession which for many limit how much they can support agencies like Careforce. But every little helps and Careforce is committed to making sure that we spend the minimum on our own operating costs and ensuring the maximum goes to our partner's projects overseas and in Canada.
